BORDER IS NO BAR

WHEN the new Cardinal Newman Secondary School at Bath opens in September, pupils from the Trowbridge and Melksham areas who travel over the county border to attend will have their fares paid by Wiltshire Education Committee.
This will last until a new Catholic secondary modern school is built in the Trowbridge district. Plans for this new school have been delayed as the District Valuer has not been able to agree terms for the purchase of the required nine-acre site.
