Farnborough SUCCESSES AT OXFORD LOCALS The students of the Salesian College, Farnborough. have again this year scored remarkably at the Oxford University Local Examinations. Ninety-nine per cent. of the boys passed in the School Leaving Certificate and obtained a similar average in the Junior Examination. The results include in the School Certificate: 97 Credits; 8 Matriculation Exemptions; 19 Passes. In the Junior Examination: 90 Credits; 4 Honours; 2 Distinctions; 17 Passes. The College reopens on September 25, but it isannounced officially that anxious parents may send their boys back earlier If they desire.
Ealing DAY SCHOOL REOPENS Previously it had been announced that Ealing Priory School was closing down until the end of the war. However. it has now been decided that the day school will remain open. Classes in the day school began on Thursday. September 14. Dom Rupert Hall, 0.S.B., will be headmaster. The present headmaster, Dom Adrian Morey. 0.S,B., has already been engaged on work as Chaplain to the Forces. In addition to him, four other priests from Ealing Priory have gone as Chaplains to the: Forces.
