Four new Catholic MPs
FOUR NEW Catholic MPs will take up their seats in the next session of Parliament, but the overall number of Catholic MPs remains stable following the outcome of last week's general election.
The four are Paul Goodman, Conservative MP for Wycombe, who worked at The Catholic Herald, and as comment editor of The Daily Telegraph before the election; Pat Doherty, Sinn Fein MP for West Tyrone; David Cairn, a former priest and Labour MP for Greenock and Inverclyde, and Ann McKechnie, MP for Glasgow Maryhill,
