Leaving Monaco Pope John has transferred Bishop Barthe of Monaco
to the See of Frejus-Toulon, made vacant by the transfer last December of Bishop Henri Mazerat to the See of Angers. Bishop Barthe has headed the Church in Monaco for nine years. It was he who officiated at the marriage of Prince Rainier and the former Grace Kelly in 1956.
