Masses and sermons throughout Hungary honoured Pope Pius X as he was being beatified in Rome. Large numbers of people, particularly small children. received Holy Communion.
In many churches a portrait of Blessed Pius was placed on the altar and surrounded by candles and flowers.
There are two autographed portraits of Blessed Pius X in Hungary. One is in "the Catholic Action headquarters in Budapest, the other in St. Margaret's parish in the Veszprem diocese.
