Stage Guild Ball as well as the Gala Show?

A suggestion that one of the yearly high-lights of Catholic social life before the war, the Catholic Stage Guild Ball. should be revived, was supported at the annual meeting of the guild last week.
It was agreed that, if such a bail were held, autumn would be the time for it. It would not clash with the St. John and St. Elizabeth Hospital Ball on October 21 this year.
The guild is presenting an "All Star" gala show, under the direction of Mr. Michael Gilleney, in aid of the Hospital of St. John and St. Elizabeth, on Sunday. June 13. at 7.30 p.m., at the Adelphi Theatre, London.
Among the artists who have offered their services are Winifred Atwell, Avril Angers. Viscountess Boyle, Ena Baga. Helene Cordet, Finlay Currie. Alan Rye. Bud Flanagan, Gilbert Harding, Ted Kavanagh, Jack Train and Bruce Trent, with Sydney Jerome and his orchestra.
