ANSWERS

Can Luther be fairly described as tt filthy ?
Yes. Peter F. Wiener, a non-Catholic Master at Stowe School, says : " It is difficult to quote his sayings (except) with dashes indicating unprintable indecencies . quite abominable and indesoribable . . when angry he fairly vomited filth.' Maritam, a Catholic, quoted by Wiener, says " He is obsessed with filth and obscenity" (see : Marlin Luther, Hitler's Spiritual Ancestor; Hutchinson, 2s. del.). Luther himself said " Be a Sinner and Sin boldly. but believe more boldly still" 4 (Erlangen edition, Vol. 62, p. 165.) Must a " Vocation " to the Priesthood or Religions Life be " Supernatural " ?
Yes : like all else in the Life of Grace. For Priesthood the student should be " fit " and have a " right intention." " Interior aspirations and promptings are not an indispensable condition " but " the fitness and right intention are . . . gifts of the Divine bounty " (Xaverian Magazine. October, 1912„ quoting " La Vocation Sacerdotale," by Chanoine Joseph Lahitton).
