The week-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Holy Ghost Fathers' Rockwell College in Co. Tipperary was opened by a Pontifical High Mass presided over by Cardinal Browne, 0.P.. one of its alumni. He is a former Superior General of the Dominican Order and now a member of the Roman Curia.
Others present were Mr. de Valera, the President of Eire, Mr, Sean Lemass.. the Prime Mini.s.ter, Archbishop Sensi, the Apostolic Nuncio. and Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, C.S.Sp., Superior General of the Holy Ghost congregation. The Mass was offered by Archbishop Morris of Cashel.
