Alec Guinness

Sir,—The CATHOLIC HERALD'S account of the very welcome news of Alec Guinness' reception into the Church gives the impression that his career has been entirely devoted to the cinematograph. Mr. Guinness was an extremely distills guished stage actor long before he was known to cinema audiences, and his film performance of The Prisoner had already met with great acclaim in the theatre.

And where, oh where, are the [goes of yesteryear?
