Next week's winner

"THE CATHOLIC HERALD has come A up with a winner." This message, from Cardiff, is typical of many which have reached the CATtiouc HERALD during the past week from readers in places ao far apart as Rome and Dublin.
They have come as result of the announcement that the paper is to have a new look from next week. Priests and laymen who have read the special information sheet about the newspaper, and have seen its new format, have been enthusiastic in their re-action.
The consensus of opinion is that in making the changes the paper has achieved a brighter look, extended the scope of its coverage, yet has been able to retain all of the characteristics which have made it the leading Catholic newspaper in the Englishspeaking language.
NEXT WEEK, the new paper will have:
1. A page for women readers with Paula Davies—a name well known to readers of the Diiil r relegraPh — making her appearanee as the regular women's columnist; 2. A special article in which Sir William Carron. veteran trade unionist and president orthe A.E.U., vs ill answer dile burning question: "Hare the unions had their day?"
3. A new feature called THIS WEEK in which staff writers will background the important events of the moment
James Johnson, Alan McElwain and our Special Correspondent will report from Rome on the closing stages of the Council 5. Freda Bruce Lockhart will give her comments on the latest films Anil Ian .lames will discuss the week's TN and radio
6. News reports, from around Britain and overseas 7. That very popular feature of the "old" paper, Letters 10 the Editor N. A full page of book reviews and, of course, Norman St. John-Sievas will produce his widely read and often controversial column.
