IT IS with great pleasure that I give you two addresses at which you can contact the exmissionaries from Vietnam (Letters, August 7). For the French Missionaries, contact: Societe des missions etrangeres de Paris, rue du Bac, 75006 Paris, France. Did you know that Mgr Seitz died two or three years ago in this house? I went to his funeral as I live nearby. He had written a book on the exodus of the last French Missionaries entitled "Le temps des chiens muets".

My friend from Kent, (who sent me the Catholic Herald), is leaving for Singapore tomorrow for a vacation to see her family. I was a missionary there for 30
years in the Congregation of the Infant Jesus Sisters, known as Soeurs de St Maur in France. We have a big boarding-school in Weybridge, and another in Drishane, Ireland, in Cork Well, I hope that my assistance will be helpful to you, and that you will succeed in your "Chasse aux tresors" . . .

Election questioned
I HAVE just finished reading your very fine article on the saga of St Maur's Church, Rush, (Catholic Herald, August 21). You state the local clergy and parish committee, backed by the late Archbishop of Dublin, agreed to the building of a new church. The fact is that the late Archbishop McNamara agreed to it on the recommendation of the local clergy and the parish committee.
He was not informed by either of these that the majority of parishioners wished to have St Maur's restored. This together with the fact that a large question mark hangs over the "election" of the parish committee should be made known to your readers.
