HITLER'S HARVEST CROWN Huge Peasant Festival

Hundreds of thousands of peasants from all over Germany have been brought together in a harvest festival held on the Bilckeberg, near Goslar, in Central Germany, writes our German correspondent. The first Sunday in October is " Peasants Day."
The special number of the Volkischer Beobac-hter tells us of the pre-Christian associations of the Biickeberg, not without making unfriendly remarks about the christianisation of Germany, St. Boniface and Charlemagne.
As all nazi meetings, the Biickeberg demonstration was well organised and im
pressive. Hitler was solemnly given a harvest crown. There was a big army parade. Dr. Goebbels and Hitler made speeches, stressing the importance of agriculture for Germany's independence and economic life.
