Skater regrets taunting priest

AN AUSTRALIAN teenager who provoked the Dean of Melbourne Cathedral into launching a torrent of verbal abuse against a group of skateboarders has expressed regret over his role in the incident.
The 16-year-old skateboarder confirmed he was one of the teenagers who had goaded Mgr Geoffrey Baron. He said: "I do feel sorry for him, really, because I know what we did was wrong."
Mgr Baron's angry outburst was caught on camera and posted on the intemet.
Mgr Baron's niece, Steph Baron, this week placed a comment on the interne' defending her uncle, claiming that the teenagers had been provoking him for years in spite of repeated requests to leave.
Mgr Baron, who has since left Melbourne for his brothers' home in Sydney, has said that his furious outburst came after over four years of baiting and abuse.
