NEW PREP

SCHOOL AT STRATFORD
ANEW convent preparatory school is to be opened at Stratford-on-Avon next month by the Carmelite Sisters of Charity.
It is the Sisters' second House in England. During the holidays it will serve as a hostel for religious attending courses in Stratford On the work of Shakespeare. (Already there are eight nuns from the U.S.A. and one from Germany doing these courses.)
• The original English foundation of the Carmelite Sisters of Charity is at Wimbledon. The order was founded in Spain in 1826 by St. Joaquina de Vedruna. and now has 3.350 Sisters working in 190 convents, schools and hospitals throughout Europe, North and South America, India, Japan and Africa.
