The veteran pioneer of the Belgian Socialist Party, M. Louis de Brouel&re, accompanied by his daughter, has arrived in London. He is a person of great eminence in Socialist activity; he is a former President of the 11 Socialist Internationale, and COIRCs to join over here the present President of the " II Internationale," M. Camille Huysmans. They co-operate at the Arlington Street centre of Belgian Socialist and Liberal Parliamentarians.

M. dc Brouckare's last official visit to England was, I think, in September, 1938, when he attended the Moscow Godless Congress held in London under the auspices of Mr. Bradlaugh Banner, president of the British Freethinkers, and presided over by the President of the World League of Freethinkers, Dr. Termagne, of Brussels.
This Congress was to have been held at Brussels, but under protest of Belgian Christian population, the Government vetoed it.
