I WAS DELIGHTED to read Henrietta Wriothesley's review (28 November)

of Volume Z, of the Letters of Dorothy L Sayers and I was particularly interested in her assessment of The Man Born to be King. She is not alone in her opinion that these plays deserve to be made more widely known to the general public.
At our Society's annual convention at Wheaton College, Illinois, we gave readings of two of thel2 plays and the effect of the 10th play, with its trial of Jesus, was quite electrifying. As a result we have started discussions with Radius (The Religious Drama Society of GB) to look into the possibility of holding a series of readings of the complete cycle of plays at a future date.
We shall be holding a commemoration service for the 40th anniversary of the death of DLS on Wednesday, 17 December at St Anne's, Soho, starting at 11 am.
