School celebrates its diligent pupils with awards
26 February 2010

A proud pupil from St Paul’s school in Wythenshawe receives her award for hard work and success in her GCSE examinations at a special evening held at the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester
Last year was a good year for pupils attending St Paul’s Catholic High School in Wythenshawe, Manchester.
The school celebrated the achievements of its GCSE students at the annual awards ceremony held recently at the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester. John Edwards, the deputy director for children’s services in Manchester, was
the guest speaker for the evening and he presented the awards to the proud students.
In his opening address Wiktor Daron, head teacher at St Paul’s, said: “We are determined to continue the progress we have made at St Paul’s in the last few years and appreciate how hard everyone associated with the school is working to ensure further success in the years ahead.”
The awards were given to pupils from last year’s 11 for both achievement and progress. When asked about the awards Mr Daron said: “These young people worked extremely hard last year and deserve both praise and recognition for their efforts.
“This evening allows us as a school to say thank you to the pupils and their families for their support of St Paul’s.”
