Poland Celebrates 150 Years of Independence

The Polish colony in Londors celebrated their 150th anniversary of the Polish Constitution during last week-end.

Pontifical High Mass was celebrated in Westminster Cathedral on Saturday with Mgr. Givalina (Bishop) as celebrant, Car dinal Hinsley being present There was a large social gathering in the afternoon in the Polytechnic, Regent Street, with speeches, national songs by Polish soldiers and a cinema show.

High Mass was said on Sunday in the Polish Church in Islington, the celebrant again being Bishop Givalina.

Over a thousand Poles were present in the afternoon at the Officers' Club in Grosvenor House
