stating that the nouns "men" and "mankind" are generic forms for the human race. However. as the noun "man" is also used when the male only is concerned ambiguities can result. And it is a fact that more and more women ("arrogant women libbers" or no) are experiencing some feelings of rejection because of this use of our language. Why not continue to use the noun "man" when the reference is to both sexes but when the reference is to the male only make this quite clear by prefixing the word "male" e.g. male men only are eligible for the priesthood.
