Catholic Herald Reporter Fr. Thomas Corbishley. Superior of Farm Street Jesuit Church, is the Chairman of a new organization, the T,onclon Committee Against Obscenity, which has recently been formed to conduct a high level drive against pornography.
The committee is interdenominational — Fr. Corbishley said this week that he had wanted "an ecumenical effort" — and its three vice-Chairmen comprise an Anglican. a Methodist, and a Jew. The original idea came from the Farm Street sodality.
"We appreciate the work being done by the various local groups", Fr. Corbishley told me, "and we are in touch with them. We shall be hoping to receive information from them, and will advise them it necessary. Our main effort, however, will be conducted at a fairly high level.
