RALPH Mitchell (Letters.

Catholic Herald, May 1) is of course right in saying that it is just as serious a sin to sell or prescribe contraceptives as it is to use them objectively, that is.

Subjectively, those who sell or prescribe contraceptives are, one would have thought, more likely to commit serious sin, since in their case there can be no grounds for claiming lack of full knowledge or consent which may be the case with improperly instructed married couples.
