The Pope has called on all local churches throughout the world to mark Vocations Sunday this Sunday by joining in a prayer for vocations "as wide as the world and as strong as our faith.
He has also spoken of the need for a clearer understanding of the general vocation of the people of God which will in turn help those thinking specifically of a religious vocation. He stressed the importance of the role of priests and sisters engaged in fostering vocations.
