"The House of Puzzles"

INTEREST KEPT UP IN HARVINGTON That interest continues to be shown in Harvington Hall is reflected in the annual report of the Committee of Management The famous mooted home of ancient Chtholicity has been celled " The House of Puzzles " by reason of the remarkable number of ingenious hiding-places in which priests obtained sanctuary in penal times. The report states that the Birmingham Archaeological Society and the Worcestershire Archeological Society are now represented on the Committee of Management.

An emcuated scdool continued in occupation of the tea-room during the Year, and the rent received front the local Education Authority had been a welcome addition to funds depleted through the war. The only work undertaken during the year was the cornpletion of the panelling in the withdrawing room, the cost of which had been met by a special donation,
