Rev. F. Rogers, B.A.

MONTH'S MIND OF YOUNG FLINTS PRIEST The Month's Mind Mass will be offered on Tuesday next, May 12, in the Church of Our Lady of Peace, Haraelly, for the Rev. Francis Rogers, BA,, whose death took place at Lourdes Hospital, Dun Laoghaire. Eire. Born in Flintshire in the year 1910, he studied at Aberystwith University, where he took his degree, and at the Venerable English College, Rome. He was ordained in 1936 and appointed assistant priest at Llanelly.

On April 18, Requiem Mass was offered at St. Mary's, Flint, by the Bishop of Menevia, when the panegyric was preached by Fr. John Moran, MC., of Llanelly. The funeral followed at Pantasaph.

The Apostolic Delegate, Archbishop Godfrey, in his letter of sympathy, wrote: " Fr. Frank was, to my mind, a very chosen soul (sacerdos vietima) Our Lord gave him a special call to suffering, and he met it with the cheerful courage which all who knew him would expect of him. 1 am glad to have known him and to have led him during the last years of his preparation for the priesthood."
