PRAYERS FOR CANONISATION By permission of Radio Eireann, Pontifical Votive Mass of the Blessed Virgin for Peace and the Canonisation of Blessed Oliver Plunket will be relayed from loam on Sunday. May 17, at 11.30 a.m. The Archbishop, Most Rev. Dr. Walsh will officiate. The sermon (In Irish) will be delivered by the Rev. T, Molloy, B.D., St. Jarlath's College.
By order of the hierarchy, the Feast of Blessed Oliver will be observed this year, on Sunday, July 12. Whilst details of the celebrations are to be fixed definitely by the parochial clergy, it is expected that many of the faithful will receive Holy Communion, and that there will be special evening devotions with sermons on Blessed Oliver.
