Pope's Jubilee Mass —An Intimate People's Ceremony

The Holy Father's Jubilee Mass on Ascension Day in St. Peter's will, by his express wish, he " an intimate people's ceremony," every parish in Rome sending a representative and the whole congregation joining in the singing of the Kyrie, Credo, Te Drum and other chants. There will be no Pil8ThriemMgeasss,towhRiochineWill be said, commences at 9 o'clock G.M.T., and the blessing mist et orbe will be given from above the central facade of St. Peter's at about 10 o'clock G.M.T. The Holy Father will wait while the congregation leaves the Basilica, The ceremony will be broadcast by Vatican Radio on 19.84 and 31.06 metres.

On the previous afternoon, May 13, which is the actual jubilee anniversary, the Pope will broadcast to the world at 4.30 .p.m. G.M.T. on (among other wavelengths) 19.84 and 31.06, an English translation following immediately at about 5.10 p.m. G.M.T. on 31.06 metres, will be Pontifical High Masses in practically all the British Cathedrals on May 13, the Apostolic Delegate pontificating in Westminster Cathedral M the presence of the Cardinal Archbishop. Children are expected to make a General Communion for the Pope's intentions on Ascension Day, and all adults will do the same on the following Sunday.
