The Duke and Duchess of Windsor, accompanied by Sir Walter Roberts, British Minister to the Holy See, were received by the Holy Father in private audience on Friday at Castel Gandolfo.
Military honours were accorded them by the Swiss Guard and Papal Gendarmerie.
His Holiness expressed his good wishes to them, to the members of the Royal Family and the whole British people.
