Schola Missa de Angelis

ST JAMESʼS CHURCH, SPANISH PLACE W1

The premiere of the glamorous Roxanna Panufnik’s new Mass setting will take place at St James’s, Spanish Place, this evening. Her latest composition, the first plainsong Mass setting to be written in almost 60 years, takes up themes in the ancient Missa de Angelis and re-works them. It is in Latin with English interjections. The piece is being performed by the London Oratory School Schola, which commissioned it.
