Five Catholic pupils to join National Youth Theatre

FIVE AMPLEFORTH students have been accepted into the National Youth Theatre (NYT).

Ross Dwyer, Jo de Klee, Lucy Bird, Edith Gibby and Giorgie Pallazzo were among the 4,900 applicants who auditioned for 400 places, and will all be taking part in NYT courses this summer.

Pauline Charnock, a member of staff, said: “This is a very impressive achieve ment. Thousands of young people audition for the NYT, and we are very proud that these students have won places. The students taking part in the courses this summer will learn from a range of very exciting and experienced theatre practitioners, developing a range of performance skills.” The NYT is committed to youngsters’ social development.
