H eadhunters THREE SWISS St Bernard Monks, working among the
aborigines of the Formosa mountains have converted and baptised 1,455 former headhunters int he past two sears.
!hey have nearly 1,000 aboriginal catechumens receiving instruction.
"These people are simple and affectionate," says one of the missionaries, Fr Alphonse -Emery. "They are, however, very poor. No longer hunters, the land they cultivate in the mountains is not productive. ( oming late to the plains the land they have there is anything but the best. l'hey need medical care ... but they can barely afford it."
