don's leading Catholic Grammar Schools, St. Aloysius College at Highgate, run by the De la Salle Brothers, will be both "improved and extended" was made by Archbishop Heenan this week.
Speaking at the school's annual prizegiving in Hornsey Town Hall, the Archbishop said he had ample evidence that the school "has been labouring under many difficulties." I give my word. he said, "if you are not provided with what you need in the near future it will not be any fault of mine."
St. Aloysius. with 559 boys (93 in the sixth form this year and 124 expected next year) was built towards the end of the last century and extended in 1914. Future plans include temporary sixth form accommodation then progressive rebuilding of the whole school.
