"Most Italian of Saints" Celebrations are being held all over

Italy until October 15 in connection with the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, one of the newly created patron saints of Italy.

The Vatican radio states that " St. Francis is regarded as the most Italian of Saints and the most saintly of Italians."
