I was sorry to read the letter from Roddy and Barbara Kentish (April 29) about the lack of funds to help black unemployed teenagers. I think this is tragic when you consider that someone has f100,000 to spare for a gift of a car for a member of the Royal Family. Last year I was greatly annoyed by a television series in which a wealthy Catholic gentleman and former pupil of Downside adopted a supercilious attitude towards the less fortunate members of society. We hear so much from Churchmen concerning sexual behaviour but I have yet to hear them echo the blunt words of Christ about how difficult it is for the rich to enter heaven.
If Churchmen have any concern for the souls of the rich why don't they warn them now, John Watson Sunderland Wouldn't it be more fitting if the Jcsuit Provincial left Mayfair for Musami, and shared the difficulties and dangers with his Jesuit brethren in Rhodesia?
