Mr. George Malcolm, the man who re-made the Westminster Cathedral choir after the war, has left his position as Master of the Cathedral Music to devote more time to the concert platform.
When he went to Westminster in 1947, the choir had just been re-established after its wartime disbandment.
The March issue of the Cathedral Chronicle says: "The choir under his direction became a model of all that a choir should he; so that the B.B.C. was glad to transmit its performances both in domestic and in foreign broadcasts."
