ANEW shrine to Our Lady of Czestochowa was dedicated at St. Joseph's Church, Aylesbury. Bucks, on Sunday, by the Polish Bishop, Bishop Stefan Vaselle, assisted by the Polish chaplain from Great Missendcn, Canon J. Madeja.

The new side altar contains a beautiful icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa, and the entire shrine was presented to St. Joseph's Church by the Polish people of Aylesbury and the surrounding district. The Mayor and Mayoress and the Town Clerk were among the large congregation.

The parish priest. Fr. G. Walker, thanked the Polish people for their gift on behalf of the parish, and the Bishop addressed the congregation in English and Polish.

The Polish choir from Swindon sang at the Mass and dedication.
