WAS THERE A message behind the juxtaposition of items on page one of your 22 November issue? The second headline was "Root out world hunger, Pope tells UN Summit". At the foot of the page we are told that fortnightly deliveries of smoked salmon, each weighing 200 kilos and costing £2,500, have been made by a Scottish company to the Vatican since 1995!

I AM DELIGHTED to know in these stressful times that Pope and the College of Cardi

THE EUROPEAN newspaper states that the Vatican has refused to give its usual donation to Africa this year because of its pro-abortion stance. This seems a bit harsh since it is the living children of Africa who are in such dire need. Such actions will only stiffen the resolve of those who promote abortion, since the children who are born cannot feed.
