Town To Be Consecrated To Heart Of Mary

The whole town of Epping, on the borders of Epping Forest, is to be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on August 15, Feast of the Assumption, as a final act in the recent Walsingham Pilgrimage and ceremonies. Canons Regular of the Immaculate Conception, who serve the parish, are arranging to carry the image of Our Lady publicly through the town at 3.30 p.m., and consecrating the homes on the way.

This will be repeated the followMg Sunday, Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in the neighbouring new satellite town of Harlow.
