Memorial to old Simmarians

A memorial plaque commemorating the 27 Old Simmarians (former students of St. Mary's College, Southampton) who fell during the 1939-45 War was unveiled at the college last week by Brother Michael, a former headmaster.

The memorial service in the college chapel was conducted by Fr. Denis Walshe. of Bitterne. After the blessing of the plaque, the roll of honour was called by an old boy. Mr. Christopher Baker, and an address was given by Brother Bonaventure, the present headmaster.
