Abbess dies

Mother Mary of the Sacred Heart, for the past 28 years Abbess of the Poor Clare Convent at Baddesley Clinton, Warwickshire, has died at the age of 80. She was professed 62 years ago. Mother Mary was horn in Bolton and was the sister of two Franciscan priests, one of whom, Fr. Alexis Calderbank. was decorated as a Naval chaplain in the first World War.
