SIR — EWTN is a global Catholic network that originated in the United States but is now making Catholic television and radio available in Britain. It answers a crying need of our day: instruction in the Catholic faith and devotional life.
Since last year, it has also been available on Sky. I wonder if your readers who subscribe to Telewest realise that it could also be available to them. EWTN has offered its programmes free to Telewest but it will not accept them unless viewers ask them to do so.
I appeal to all those readers to contact Telewest. If they have a Telewest phone line, the simplest way would be to phone 150 and make the request. The operator will log it courteously.
