A year-long commemoration of the fifth centenary of the canonisation of St. Catherine of Siena will be opened in Rome on June 18 by the Mayor. On June 29, the anniversary of her canonisation, there will be a special Mass at the Dominican church of Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, where her body is preserved.
The ceremonies will conclude with a national convention of the Dominican Third Order in Rome in June, 1962.
