Mgr. James Black, Vicar-General of the Archdiocese of Glasgow, has been appointed to the recently-erected diocese of Paisley. and the Rev. Edward Douglas. parish priest of St. Anthony's, Govan, Glasgow, is appointed Bishop of the recently-erected diocese of Motherwell, Mgr. Black, who is 53, was born on June 25 in Glasgow, and ordained in 1920, his studies being interrupted by the war 1914-18. Fr. Douglas, who was also born in Glasgow on August 26, 1901, was for 15 years Professor at Maks College.
