Argentine Bishops on Political Errors

Liberalism that leads nations to dissolution and anarchy, through an abuse of liberty; Socialism and Communism which are the negation of the whok dogma and morals of Christianity ; totalitarianism in all its forms, because it despoils man of the essential gift of individual liberty, and materialistic racism which is the negation of the whole spiritual order—all these errors are condemned by the Argentine hierarchy in a joint pastoral letter issued following a recent meeting in Buenos Aires at which Cardinal Copello, Archbishop of Buenos Aires and Primate of Argentina, presided.

The seven Archbishops and 15 bishops of Argentina, all of whom signed the pastoral, make it quite clear that in condemning these errors they arc acting in conformity with the Church. " But the Church, although she condemns errors, desires to save individuals and to restore peace to nations." tho pastoral says. " In all countries there are children of the Church whom she embraces with equal love."
