FR HENDRICKX is a very experienced teacher of scripture, first in Louvain and for the last 20-odd years in the Philippines. These four books were first published in 1975-9, and are here re-issued with some slight modifications to take account of continuing scholarship.
They are the best kind of haute vulgarisation, sober and sensible expositions of what is being said, well in touch with current scholarly views and yet crystal-clear and easy to understand. They cannot be highly enough recommended to anyone from college-student upwards.
