THE NOVEMBER issue of "New Blackfriars", has an excellent article on the "Curran Affair" by Bernard Raring, who taught Curran in Rome, and who accompanied him to the Vatican for "informal dialogue" in March.
Bernard Haring points out that it is quite wrong to blame Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger for this affair because the investigation began in the summer of 1979, long before Cardinal Ratzinger was called to Rome.
