II READ with the greatest interest Fr I lanshell's statement

March 22: "There is a school of thought in the Church now that is against adoration of the Blessed Sacrament inside as well as outside Mass". I have long suspected this but have found no one willing to acknowledge it.

I wonder how many of our clergy subscribe to this view. Can it be that some of our bishops may be numbered among them?

Elizabeth liolderness 77, Colchester Road, I lalstead, Essex C09 ZEN • I would like to commend your paper for publishing the excellent series on how to Celebrate the Liturgy by Fr Deryck Hanshell Si.

In the light of the many letters from so-called "Traditional" Catholics, it is good to read how the modern liturgy is to be celebrated with dignity and precision. So little attention is payed to the correct rubrics by clergy today and I would advise both clergy and laity to read Fr Hanshell's article carefully.

The new liturgy is beautiful when correctly performed in its various settings and a nightmare when the celebrant seems not to know or to care what has to be done and when.
