Time for worship

I WISH to add to Freda Bruce Lockhart, March 22, "lime for, worship", that Mr Prior's assertion that "modern congregations nearly all arrive now in time for the beginning of Mass and they do not leave till Mass is over" seems to be really a woolly-minded propaganda employed by the promoters of the Vatican II Church in the face of reality which must be wellknown to all.

For reality is different, and FRI. is wrong in that she mentions it as if it were only her experience, whereas the practice is widespread in all churches that the Mass starts with the church half full and after communion again half of the congregation starts for the doors — which is probably due to the boring and meaninglessness of the Mass as it is performed, as a ritual, and to the prevailing attitude of the official Church, making it almost the singular obligation to attend a Mass on a Sunday (and parting with some donations).
