THIS PARISH IS HOST TO STUDENTS

vOR the fifth year in succession, the parishioners of Cockfosters, North London, entertained 90 students from 25 overseas countries for lunch last Sunday. Each parishioner was host to one or more students, who came from Nigeria. Uganda. other countries of Africa. and elsewhere.

It is an annual event which commemorates the feast of Christ the King, to whom the Benedictine church at Cockfosters is dedicated.

Guests arrived at Cockfosters from all parts of London in the course of the morning, some going to Mass there. In the evening hosts and guests attended Benediction and met at a parish reeeption held afterwards.

"This annual event is popular," says Dom Edmund Jones, 0.S.B., superior at Cockfosters. " Hosts and guests keep in touch throughout the year. Our parishioners are delighted to get pictures sent them of families back home in Africa, India, and so on."
