Banners are not displayed at Soho Masses

From the chairman of Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice SIR 1 see from your report (April 27). "Bishop warned of vigilante threat over Soho Masses", that our letter to Bishop Longley has been leaked. I suppose if this even happens in the Cabinet I should not be surprised and I am sure it was done with the best of intentions.
However, there is one error which I feel I should correct, in fairness to the Warwick Street churchgoers. I didn't say that they arrive at the church under banners proclaiming "Proud to be LGBT and Proud to be Catholic". They don't; they arrive just like anyone else. What I did say was that when they walk in the "Gay Pride March" they carry these banners, which makes it clear that their lifestyles are not in accordance with Church teaching.
I hope this publicity will encourage your readers to pray for these people, our brothers and sisters in Christ, and also that some will join us to pray in reparation for their openly sacrilegious Communions on May 6.
Yours faithfully, DAPHNE McLEOD Great Bookhatn, Surrey
