TWO world leaders of trade unionism — both Catholics— will he speaking at the Catholic Social Guild summer school at Hoddesdon, Herts., July 28August 4. Mr. George Woodcock, C.B.E., general secretary of the British Trades Union Congress and a leader in International Federation of Free Trade Unions, will speak on trade unions in the responsible society. August Vanistendael, general secretary of the International Federation of Christian Trade Unions, will speak on social development in underdeveloped countries.
Also among the lecturers will be Joseph Folliet. a professor at Lyon University and a leader of the French "Social Weeks".
